3rd Annual Northern Lights Party
We celebrated for a third year with great friends and music.
Habitat Build – 2011
We assembled a crew again this year for a Habitat for Humanity build in Shakopee. This year we worked on insulation and the vapor barrier which made us all a little itchy at times
We had a great time together, lots of laughs, and most importantly we finished our job with time to spare. It was great to be working in the same neighborhood as last year because we were able to see the finished product and see the family that now lives there.
NASCAR at Chicagoland Speedway
Last weekend I attended my first NASCAR race in Joliet, IL. Sean joined me and we took the camper down and camped at the track. It was great to meet others at the campsite and the races. Everyone was very kind, we were given tickets for the Friday night race, we were invited to the Miller Lite deck for a great track view and drinks, and given a pit tour. Sean was even in a Speed Network spelling contest on stage
The Sprint Cup race was pretty intense, cars were running out of fuel on the last lap and a bunch of cars fell out of the top 10. The roar of the cars is pretty awesome, much louder than I ever thought!
We had a great time and hope to make another trip next year with more friends.

Team building and baseball
A few of our IT teams attended the Braves game yesterday. It was great to get out of the office with everyone!
I must say, not having a parking lot for tailgating at the Twin's games is a bummer!
Walk for Life
On Thursday there was a Walk for Life event held at the MSP airport. Our IT team raised over $8,000 for the American Cancer Society! Great job team!! We had a nice time with friends and enjoyed walking around the airport casually instead of being in a rush. Fun fact: Did you know that walking the loop at the airport is 1.4 miles!?
The Prior Lake Polar Bear Plunge!
Wow! What an experience today with the Polar Plunge. Our group came in second for the most raised with over $6,000 for the Special Olympics!! Thank you to all of the donors!!! We had an awesome bunch with friends and family to support us. Thanks to Mom, Joe, Nix, and Jenn for joining us today!
We have many more pictures to share from various sources. Please check back to the Flickr stream for updates
Habitat for Humanity
Today we had a lot of fun in Shakopee helping with the roof trusses one of the Delta sponsored homes. We had a beautiful day and a great team to work with.
Everyone worked hard and we even allowed Kim S to use power tools
Thanks everyone!
Vikings game
Today I joined a few of my classmates for the Vikings game. We met Ed Hochuli, Wally the beer man, and the Vikings won
A great day!
The Metrodome has implemented some new technology that allows people to watch replays and other NFL games, very cool!
Thanks Paul!
A Raceway Park reunion
I met up with Kathy, Sean, and friends tonight at Raceway Park for a little reunion. It has been about 14 or 15 years since we have worked there in the popcorn stand
We watched some good racing, Sean's uncle Jon racing, and my favorite, lawn mower racing.
Not much has changed since we worked there except for the people. Sean's family no longer owns the track either. It was a good time and I look forward to bringing Joey when he gets a little older and can stay up long enough to enjoy it.
Lawn tractor races!
