Wild opener and no HD???
What’s up with the Minneapolis channel 45 not broadcasting in HD? A few years ago I could catch HD broadcasts from them on 45-2 but they have failed to broadcast Twins, Wolves, and the Wild since then. It’s 2009, get with it 45!!!
***Update – It turns out that there aren’t a whole lot of Wild games this year for the Wild. That’s disappointing as I think that hockey is the best sport in HD. I hope that the Wolves have more HD games this year. I figured that after the Twins went the entire second half all in HD with FSN that we would at least have FSN HD full time for these teams. It doesn’t appear to be the reality though 🙁

They are playing well tonight!
I was at the opener this year. I will miss the last game in the dome but did manage to make it tonight. My first live grand-slam!
I’ve had DirecTV for almost 10 years and have always been curious about the NFL Sunday Ticket. So, last week I called DTV and asked them for ST for free like new customers get. They agreed to provide this to me along with the SuperFan package. Today I was able to give it a run with my television, laptop, and BlackBerry! All that I can say is that it is one cool experience!!!
I had Brian and Dan over and during the commercials of the Vikings game we watched the “Mix” channel which showed us eight other games being played.
We also would sometimes bounce over to the RedZone channel that allowed us to watch all of the scoring of any game. When two games were looking to score, they would switch to split screen and if they missed a quick score they would replay it for us.
There are other capabilities to plug in fantasy team players and show the stats for only your players but I haven’t played with that yet.
I now have the ability to watch NFL games on my computer anywhere and even my BlackBerry via the SuperCast applications. For Sunday night and Monday night games I can use my Slingbox. In addition, I can listen to all games on my Sprint phone and watch the NFL Network based games on my phone. I guess that I am pretty well covered this year 🙂
DirecTV has taken the NFL game to a whole new level when watching from home!
I have used the Sling Player software on my Blackberry Curve and now the Blackberry Tour. For some reason, Slingmedia does not support CDMA devices with their software. Sling, what’s the problem???

I am flying home from Atlanta and hooked up to the Go-Go Wi-Fi service offered on some Delta flights. After checking my work email, personal email, texting Carolyn through Google Voice, and finishing some homework I have been enjoying ESPN via my Slingbox. Too cool! BTW, I was listening to streaming Slacker while I was doing everything prior to the Slingbox.
This is the way to fly!!!
